MANDATORY READ*
GREENWATER /
As the name suggests, the water they drink from is coloured green - but it is harmless. Greenwater prides itself in equality and the leaders of Greenwater allow every kind of being into their arms, no questions asked. However, the leaders of both Rosewood and Celeste feel like this is a silly idea - sure, they like equality, but they interview people before they can be considered members of their society.
Greenwater is located to the west and is closer to the area many class as 'off limits' and they have lost many of their members because they would trek too far into the blackened forest.
They also catch a lot of large fish in their waters - this is because of the temperature of the water, and it's supposedly-alluring colour. However, they lack a variety of birds and most of the crows they do see come from the edge of the blackened forest.
ROSEWOOD /
The name itself would suggest that their section of Abunai is full of rose bushes - and with that assumption, you would be correct. Rosewood's leaders pride themselves in having a beautiful landscape with a variety when it comes to birds. Rosewood lacks a large amount of water, so they trade with Celeste and Greenwater for fish.
Rosewood is located to the south of Abunai. In order to reach the blackened forest, the residents of Rosewood would have to travel through their own coloured forest before getting to the black, dead trees that lie at the edge. Not a lot of Rosewood members have died/gone missing in the blackened forest, as their own forest seems to be enough.
Rosewood has a variety of birds and a large amount of trees - which they use to grow apples and other kinds of fruit. They trade their fruit and their birds with Greenwater and Mori so that they have a variety of food to eat.
MORI /
Mori is mostly closed off from the other territories. Those who live in Mori do not have a stable lifestyle, and they struggle to trade things as their piece of Abunai can only grow crops and they do not get a lot of fish - and when they do, they are tiny.
Mori is located to the east of Abunai. No one in Mori has ever heard of the blackened forest and they have not had any reports of anyone going missing from their group. The members of Mori are very close with one another - unlike the other territories' members, whom all seem to have trust issues.
Mori's leaders have only recently established a trade with Rosewood and Greenwater in order to get proper fish and other kinds of food. Their crops are tended to in large patches of land, so there is enough for them all to eat and trade.
CELESTE /
Celeste is to the north of Abunai and is considered to be the 'richest' territory in all of Abunai. The blackened forest has been bordered up so nobody can go directly into the forest without breaking Celeste's laws and regulations.
Celeste is also the only territory with laws. If you were to break said laws, Celeste would cast you out without a warning or a fair trial - as they deem the perpetrator to be of low standards and they can not be allowed in their community.
Celeste has everything its members could ever need/want. They have fish, birds and trees that they can harvest fruit from. The only thing they lack is crops, and, according to Celeste's leaders: Mori is too poor of a place, so the leaders of Celeste didn't want to negotiate with them in order to establish a trade.
HIKERS /
Hikers are welcomed everywhere and they never stay in one place - so they do not affiliate themselves with any of the four groups. Hikers are seen every and some have even been brave enough to venture into the blackened forest. But they have never returned and because they have no affiliation with anybody - nobody will know who they are and not a lot of people will know of their existence in this world.
